Built as the main London terminal for the York & Midland Railway. The building is 243 ft. wide and 600 ft. long. The trainshed is 100ft high. Largest railway station in the world when built in 1865. The hotel, known as the Midland Grand Hotel was added 1868-1874. It closed in 1935. In 2007 the station opened as St. Pancras International, home of the Eurostar. |
