After completion in 1915 the building was 16 stories tall, named Lumber Exchange Building. In 1922 5 stories were added to the building. In 1925 the 37 story tower was constructed and the building was renamed to Roanoke Building. In 1928 a 45 ft beacon tower was constructed at the top. |
